Nanotechnology

  • A multidisciplinary team-based research platform. Charged with investigating and supporting research on a variety of novel materials/structures/processes and with conveying/transferring findings to Khalifa University other R&D centers for further development and productizing. 
  • Aims to focus on the performance attributes and functional demonstration of nanomaterials/systems, by assembling/integrating sophisticated materials, composite materials, and structures, that translate to devices and systems at the macroscale
  • Development of materials/solutions for applications in power/optoelectronic, aerospace (self-sensing and self-healing), and diagnostic monitoring (sensors). 
  • Provides opportunities to perform research in areas of interest to Khalifa University’s other engineering R&D centers
